AgileEngine is seeking a Python Developer to build and scale an event-driven integration platform, including APIs, resilience features, and AI-facing integrations.

You will design contract-first interfaces, implement a durable event log, and enable multiple consumption patterns while partnering with GenAI tooling. The role emphasizes strong collaboration, architectural decisions, and delivering robust ITSM integrations.

Qualifikationen

• At least 4 years of production experience with Python and APIs.
• Strong understanding of event-driven and asynchronous architectures.
• REST API design experience with OpenAPI; AsyncAPI familiarity.
• Kafka or equivalent streaming platform experience.
• Experience using GenAI in daily development workflows.
• Comprehensive testing discipline (pytest/contract testing) and CI/CD.
• Proficient with Linux, Git, and containerized environments.
• Ability to reason about distributed systems and debugging across components.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to justify architectural trade-offs.
• Desire to continuously learn and assess new tools critically.

Aufgaben

• Build and evolve a Python service handling event taxonomy and durable logs.
• Design contract-first interfaces using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Develop the platform’s correlation and decision layer for ITSM actions.
• Implement resilience mechanisms for degraded upstream platforms.
• Support multiple access patterns (fire-and-forget, polling, webhooks, streaming).
• Develop event type registry and self-service onboarding for teams.
• Create GenAI-facing surfaces for agent skills and tool-calling.
• Modernize legacy integrations with deprecation paths.
• Own quality end-to-end: code reviews, testing, observability, production support.
• Participate in squad ceremonies and customer-facing meetings.
• Take ownership of components/projects with architecture decision records.
