Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Developer to build and scale an event-driven integration platform with APIs, resilience, and GenAI-enabled tooling.

You will work on a backbone service handling observation, intent, and outcome events, with a durable log and workers that translate events into ITSM actions. You’ll design contract-first interfaces (OpenAPI/AsyncAPI) and develop a correlation layer to ensure deduplicated, exactly-once processing across distributed components, while advancing

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production experience with Python and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of event-driven and asynchronous architecture.
• Experience with REST API design and OpenAPI; AsyncAPI contracts encouraged.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent streaming platform.
• GenAI-assisted development awareness and practical use.
• Testing discipline (pytest; contract testing), CI/CD, Linux, Git and containers.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a Python service handling an event taxonomy and replayable log.
• Design and maintain contract-first interfaces using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Develop the linkage from signals to ITSM actions with exactly-once semantics.
• Create platform resilience mechanisms to stay usable during vendor outages.
• Support multiple access patterns: fire-and-forget, submit-and-poll, webhooks, streams.
• Develop event type registry and self-service onboarding for teams.
