An industry-leading construction firm in Spain is seeking a Major Works & Complex Claims Building Manager to oversee high-value insurance construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of senior-level experience in complex claims, exceptional relationship management skills, and the ability to operate independently. This role offers autonomy and a competitive package commensurate with experience, along with long-term opportunities within a growing division.

Due to continued growth within our Major Works & Complex Claims division, we are seeking a highly experienced senior Building Manager with proven capability in large-scale insurance construction, complex assessments and senior stakeholder management.

This role is designed for an individual who operates confidently at a senior level and understands the commercial, technical and relationship-driven nature of complex insurance claims with responsibilities to provide leadership, guidance to the major works team and ensure all outcomes are delivered in the Major works Division

This is not a volume BAU role — this is a senior appointment.

🏗️ The Role: Major Works & Complex Claims Building Manager

You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of major loss and complex insurance claims, from assessment and scoping through to construction delivery and finalisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake detailed assessments, scopes, methodology and build strategies
• Manage programmes, variations, budgets and commercial outcomes
• Liaise at a senior level with insurers, loss adjusters, consultants and stakeholders
• Provide high-level reporting and claim strategy oversight
• Lead subcontractors and internal teams to ensure quality, safety and compliance
• Drive margin, programme certainty and client satisfaction

✅ What You Bring

This role requires senior-level experience — applications without Major Works exposure will not be considered.

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in high-level insurance construction and assessing

Demonstrated experience delivering major works and complex claims

Strong technical knowledge of building, construction methodologies and compliance

Proven commercial acumen and contract management capability

Exceptional stakeholder and relationship-management skills

Ability to operate autonomously on complex, high-risk claims

Desirable (and remunerated accordingly):

• Existing portfolio of insurer and/or loss adjuster relationships
• Ability to contribute to client growth, retention and strategic partnerships
• Highly competitive package commensurate with experience

Additional remuneration considered for established client / adjuster portfolios
