Job summary

Morningstar Madrid is seeking Data Research Analysts fluent in German and/or Dutch to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data across global markets. You will collaborate with the Global Data Team and Local Business Representatives to manage data acquisition, quality, and client-facing delivery.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and at least two other languages to collaborate with providers across international markets.
• Collaborative team player with strong client focus and empathy.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for financial/investment data quality and processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the global data teams.
• Be the data expert on investment data points, processes, methodologies, calculations & different fund structures.
• Manage business relationships with fund companies; connect with providers and set up acquisition channels; act as escalation point.
• Meet predetermined production deadlines for internal and external clients.
• Continuously evaluate procedures; create and enhance analytical tools; implement process improvement projects.
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma project management methodologies to track and resolve complex data issues.
• Collect and maintain Morningstar data with high accuracy, completeness, and coverage.
• Show ownership of data tickets; provide timely updates, follow-ups, expeditions, and resolutions.
• Understand internal partners' roles to expedite issue resolution.
• Translate internal requests into detailed specifications and user stories.
• Improve and document client use cases to ensure new functionality meets client expectations.
