Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, seeks a Sommelier for Deessa, the celebrated fine-dining room led by Quique Dacosta. The position delivers expert wine and beverage service within a two-Michelin-star setting, advising guests and managing the wine cellar to uphold exceptional standards.

Based at the hotel, you will support wine orders, promote the wine list, and collaborate across departments to enhance guest experiences. Training and development are provided in a luxury environment.

Formación

• Experience as a sommelier in luxury hospitality.
• Strong advisory and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of allergens and dietary restrictions.
• Experience managing wine cellar and inventory.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver expert wine and beverage service per Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Advise guests on wine selections and pairings for menu items.
• Ensure smooth service in the assigned section.
• Develop, maintain and promote the wine list.
• Manage the wine cellar, inventory, storage and preservation.
• Support wine orders, stock management and cellar sales reporting.
• Maintain cleanliness of cellar equipment and utensils.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, allergens and dietary restrictions.
• Prepare and serve beverages, including wines and cocktails.
• Assist in events setup, service and breakdown.
• Collaborate with restaurant, kitchen and other hotel departments.
• Manage billing procedures and guest farewells.
• Promote wine and hotel services through suggestive selling.
