Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca is seeking a Cook to join our Culinary team. Based at our property, you will prepare and cook dishes in line with established recipes and brand standards to ensure top quality and presentation.

Join a luxury hospitality environment on Mallorca's coast, collaborating with the Sous Chef, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, and contributing to menu development and cost control.

Qualifications

• Culinary School, University Degree at least 2-3 years’ experience in Luxury Hospitality industry
• Proven experience in luxury hospitality kitchen environments
• Strong knowledge of recipes, plating and food safety

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation and service.
• Supervise and guide kitchen colleagues within your section, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
• Ensure food quality, hygiene, and safety standards are always met.
• Assist with stock control, inventory management, and proper use of kitchen equipment.
• Collaborate with the Sous Chef on menu development, new dishes, and daily specials.
• Train and support junior team members, fostering teamwork, efficiency, and skill development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Contribute to cost control by minimizing waste and supporting efficient food preparation during peak service times.
