Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca is seeking a dedicated Help Cook to join the Culinary Team. Based at the hotel, you will support the Chef in preparing and presenting dishes, ensuring high-quality results and kitchen efficiency.

You will follow the chef's directions, manage ingredients and maintain strict hygiene standards, contributing to a seamless dining experience for guests at Mallorca's premier resort.

Qualifications

• High school culinary diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food handling.
• Ability to execute and maintain consistency in the daily menu, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Experience managing inventory, controlling stock levels, and minimizing food waste.
• Capability to monitor the quality of food production and ensure dishes meet standards.
• Excellent time management to handle multiple tasks during peak hours.
• Strong communication with kitchen staff and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Ingredient preparation: wash, peel, cut and chop vegetables; prep meats and proteins.
• Maintain cleanliness and order: keep stations clean and organized, surfaces cleaned after use.
• Assist in cooking: follow chef's instructions to prepare dishes.
• Stock management: check stock levels and assist in ordering supplies.
