Job summary

Making Science is seeking a Team Lead CRO to spearhead the Spain CRO department, drive the local conversion optimization strategy, and ensure profitability and service excellence for clients. You will manage talent, oversee proposals, and partner with tech providers to deliver measurable results.

The role requires 5+ years in CRO, leadership experience, and fluency in Spanish with professional English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven CRO experience with expert-level A/B testing, personalization, and data analysis.
• Strong interest and/or experience with integrating AI agents for optimization.
• Proven leadership in mentoring teams and managing budgets/P&Ls.
• Experience drafting commercial proposals for RFPs and managing department budgets.
• Proficiency in leading cross‑functional projects and resource allocation.
• Fluent Spanish and professional English (C1).

Responsibilities

• Direct ownership and oversight of the CRO department's P&L in Spain, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
• Lead a team of 7 CRO consultants with development plans and workload balancing.
• Define growth strategy for the national CRO unit in line with global goals.
• Oversee RFPs, technical scoping and commercial proposals for pitches and tenders.
• Build and manage relationships with tech partners focused on A/B testing and UX tools.

We are looking for a Team Lead CRO to lead, consolidate, and drive the growth of our CRO department in Spain. In this role, you will be ultimately responsible for the conversion rate optimization strategy in the local market, the area's profitability, internal talent management, and service excellence for our clients.

What we’d like you to do

• P&L Management: Direct ownership and oversight of the CRO department’s Profit & Loss (P&L) statement in Spain, ensuring revenue, margin, and profitability targets are met.
• End-to-End Team Management: Direct leadership of a team of 7 CRO consultants (career development plans, time tracking, account allocation, and workload balancing).
• Spain CRO Area Development: Define and drive the growth strategy for the national CRO unit in alignment with global business goals.
• RFP & Tender Management: Lead the preparation, technical scoping, and commercial presentation of proposals for competitive pitches and public/private tenders.
• Strategic Partnership Management: Build and manage relationships with key tech partners across the ecosystem (A/B testing, personalization, and UX tools).
• Quality & Strategy Ownership: Define and oversee optimization roadmaps, ensuring analytical rigor and methodological excellence across all deliverables.

What we’d like you to bring
