Job summary

Making Science is seeking a Treasury Collections Consultant to join our Corporate Finance team in Madrid. You will monitor collections, analyze credit risk, and manage invoice discounting lines, while strengthening banking relationships and forecasting cash flows.

The role reports to the CEO and involves cross‑functional collaboration across Finance, Operations and Strategy. The ideal candidate has a business/finance degree, 2+ years in a similar role, strong Excel skills, and English at C1

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration or Economics or related.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar treasury/collections role.
• Knowledge of liability banking products (credit policies, confirming, factoring, commercial discounting).
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/treasury software.
• Native or proficient English (C1).

Responsibilities

• Monitor consolidated Group collections and prepare customer aging.
• Analyze customer credit risk and manage invoice discounting lines.
• Forecast the company’s collections and monitor financing positions.
• Elaborate reporting and maintain banking relationships.
• Support CFO/CEO with strategic financial insights and milestones.
• Collaborate across Finance, Operations & Strategy teams.

The Corporate Finance team serves as a trusted advisor to the company, informing and guiding critical C‑level decisions through insightful analyses & thought partnership. We are looking for a bright, driven individual who will succeed in a fast‑paced environment and support our team in making sound recommendations that will allow the company to scale.

Reporting to the CEO, this is a highly visible and key leadership role that is cross‑functional in nature and requires collaboration across all Finance, Operations & Strategy functional teams. You will lead a powerhouse team of two/three professionals that will lead long‑term finance projects, relationships with debt providers, ; present key Operating & Financial metrics to various executive team members; collaborate on the monthly forecasting process; take on high‑profile strategic projects for the CEO, and other key decision‑makers.

What we’d like you to do

• Monitoring of consolidated Group collections
• Preparation of customer aging
• Analysis and monitoring of customer credit risk
• Use, optimisation and monitoring of invoice discounting lines (factoring without recourse, with recourse and commercial discounting).
• Forecast of the company's collections
• Monitoring and control of discounted financing positions
• Elaboration of reporting
• Relationship with banking entities

• Degree in Business Administration or Economics or related
• You have at least 2 of years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of liability banking products (credit policies, confirming, factoring, commercial discounting, etc).
• Advanced Excel user
• You have use an ERP and treasury software as Kryriba previously
• You have an advanced level of English, both spoken and written (C1)
