METT Barcelona, a 5-star hotel, is offering a six-month internship for a Kitchen Trainee. Join a luxury hospitality team to learn from chefs, assist in ingredient prep, mise en place, and food presentation while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

You will be involved in events, support during service, monitor stock, and participate in SOPs, with staff meals provided and mentorship to build your career in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Formación

• A current student related to Culinary Arts or Gastronomy.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety.
• Organized, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Available for a 6-month full-time internship.
• Able to sign a collaboration agreement with your school.
• Legally authorized to work in Spain or enrolled in a university approved for internships within the EU.
• Paid Internship.
• Staff meals during the working shifts.
• Mentorship and hands-on career-building experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist chefs in the preparation of ingredients and basic cooking tasks.
• Support in the mise en place for daily service.
• Learn proper food preparation techniques and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment.
• Follow hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
• Assist in monitoring stock levels and informing supervisors of shortages.
• Support the kitchen team during service and high-volume periods.
• Help in the preparation of dishes for events and banquets.
• Learn and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the kitchen.
