GMV in Tres Cantos, Madrid is offering an internship in Database Analysis for Computer Vision. You will work with aerial image datasets to compare synthetic and real images, analyze differences, and define metrics under supervision.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field and have interest in image processing, computer vision and data analysis. English proficiency and knowledge of Python, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Linux are valued.

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science or related field.
• Interest in image processing, computer vision and data analysis.
• Knowledge of statistics and experimental data analysis is valued.
• Experience or familiarity with Python, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib and Linux environments.
• Good level of written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze differences between synthetic aerial images generated from orthophotos and real UAV images, and quantify the reality gap.
• Work with aerial image datasets to compare synthetic and real images and define relevant metrics.
• Perform statistical analyses to interpret experimental results.

Internship: Database Analysis for Computer Vision

We are expanding our teams in the Defence and Security sector to work on vision-based navigation and positioning projects using aerial imagery.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

As part of our team, you will analyse the differences between synthetic aerial images generated from orthophotos and real images acquired during UAV flights, characterising and quantifying the reality gap to improve the realism of datasets used in navigation systems.

You will work with aerial image datasets to compare synthetic and real images, analyse their visual and geometric differences, define relevant metrics and perform statistical analyses to interpret the experimental results.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science or a related field, with an interest in image processing, computer vision and data analysis.

We will also value knowledge of statistics and experimental data analysis, as well as experience or familiarity with Python, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib and Linux environments.

Finally, you should have a good level of written and spoken English.
