GMV is offering an internship for a Software Engineer in the defense sector, inviting masters students to kick off their career as part of an elite team. The role focuses on AI/ML models for inertial navigation, training and validating numerous experiments, and integrating sensor data from IMUs in real-world campaigns.

The position emphasizes learning, flexibility, and potential continuation after the internship.

Formación

• Master's students in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related field.
• Programming skills, preferably in Python.
• Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Solid foundation in linear algebra and statistics.
• Knowledge of inertial navigation, IMUs, and INS implementation is a plus.
• Experience with neural network architectures for sequential/time-series data.
• Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow or other ML frameworks.
• State estimation and sensor fusion techniques.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

• You will conduct a large number of training and validation experiments across different configurations and operational scenarios.
• You will propose and evaluate improvements to the architecture.
• You will also study the integration of additional navigation measurements or sensor data.
• The solutions developed will be compared with conventional navigation approaches and relevant state-of-the-art methods, using datasets obtained from real-world test campaigns.
• Development, training, and evaluation of AI models applied to inertial navigation.
• Preparation and processing of datasets obtained from IMUs and real-world test campaigns.
• Automation and execution of large-scale training campaigns using different model configurations, architectures, and hyperparameters.
• Study and integration of additional measurements or sensor data to complement the inertial data.
• Documentation and presentation of the developed algorithms, experiments, and results obtained.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are seeking master's students in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.

With programming skills, preferably in Python. Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Solid foundation in linear algebra and statistics.

In addition, knowledge of inertial navigation, IMUs, and INS implementation is a plus. Experience with neural network architectures for sequential or time-series data. PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other machine learning frameworks. State estimation and sensor fusion techniques.
