Gunvor Group in Madrid is seeking an HR Generalist to be the primary contact for our Spanish office, collaborating with managers at the Madrid corporate office and other sites in Spain. The role delivers HR services throughout the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with Spanish labour laws and company policies.

The position also supports onboarding, training, performance management, payroll for the EMEA region, and maintains HR communications channels.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish employment laws and regulations.
• Fluent Spanish with excellent English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Work with the EMEA HR team to deliver end-to-end HR services.
• Partner with Madrid managers and regional sites to support HR operations.
• Handle onboarding, assimilation, training, performance management and payroll for the EMEA region.
• Maintain local HR communications channels such as intranets.
• Act as back-up for HR Operations Specialist and other EMEA HR Generalists when needed.
• Vendor management for HR service providers.

Job Description

As a member of the HR EMEA team, the HR Generalist will be the primary contact for our Spanish office, partnering with managers at the Madrid corporate office and two other sites located in Northern and Southern Spain. The role is responsible for delivering HR services throughout the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with Spanish labour legislation and company policies.

Additionally this role will also support the delivery of HR Operations services such as onboarding and assimilation, training and development, performance management, employee engagement and payroll for the EMEA region.

This role will also be responsible for maintaining any communication channel to Gunvor’s employees such as local HR Intranet and other.

The HR Generalist act as back-up upon business need requirement of the HR Operations Specialist and/or the other EMEA HR Generalist.

Location: Madrid, on-site

Main Responsibilities

• Work in close partnership with the EMEA HR team and the Reward and HRIS team to deliver recurring end to end services and processes including partnership with the payroll provider to timely provide inputs and information as required.
• Develop and maintain key internal/external relationships, which may include: business and functional leaders, hiring managers, HR professionals, industry contacts, employees.
• Participate and support local, regional and global HR initiatives aiming at the continuous improvement of the HR function, processes and services.
• Leverage and enforce processes and technologies to support delivery of services.
• Promote the use and implementation of tools/technologies within to gain efficiency in delivering HR services.
• Ability to foster a positive, rewarding work environment. Aiming to develop an organization that attracts and retains talented employees.
• Ensure the desired business results are prioritized and the organization capabilities are operationalized. Must be able to effectively communicate to organizational management the importance of listening to employees and making improvements.
• Establish a culture of measurement and accountability.
• Responsible for vendor management of service providers.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience anticipating issues, problem solving and implementing solutions, including referring critical issues to the appropriate level of management, and improving efficiency, quality, cost and productivity
• Demonstrated experience positively influencing and collaborating with business and HR leaders
• Strong work ethic; sense of initiative; ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills as primary focus is interacting with employees and organizational management
• Thorough knowledge of Spanish employment-related laws and regulations.
• Ability to foster trust with employees
• Strong analytical abilities in order to accurately assess employees' needs, evaluate feedback, and translate those into actionable recommendations to improve an organization's work environment
• Effective organizational skills; ability to multitask; diligence in following up on tasks
• Demonstrated understanding of evolving HR landscape and capability of supporting organizational change efforts
• Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach; ability to solve problems creatively

• Fluent Spanish
• Excellent English skills both written and spoken (independent drafting), any other European language an asset.
