Factorial in Barcelona seeks an Engineering Team Lead who writes code and guides a small team of 4–7 engineers. You’ll review PRs, pair on hard problems, and ship features yourself, while running 1:1s to develop people.

This player-coach role emphasizes AI-native product thinking, API design, and scalable systems to deliver business value. Office-first with hybrid options and remote work when appropriate.

Formación

• Led a small team or acted as a Technical Team Lead, formally or informally.
• Mentored engineers and enjoyed it.
• Prefer hands-on problem solving with the team over handing off.
• Engages in Socratic discussions to find the best solution.

Responsabilidades

• Write code weekly – features, reviews, pairing, and unblocking the team.
• Learn the business and customer journey; shape the roadmap with your team.
• Write and review RFCs; provide real feedback to get things done.
• Run weekly 1:1s focused on development and well-being of each team member.
• Interview engineers; help maintain high hiring standards.
• Continuously improve team processes and workflows.
• Lead the shift to AI-native product development with leadership by example.
