Job summary

BizAway is seeking a seasoned People Operations Team Leader to oversee a distributed group of specialists, partner with regional HRBPs, and drive excellence across the employee lifecycle.

You will define compensation foundations, support M&A, and lead payroll, onboarding, contracts, and compliance while building dashboards to inform decision making in a multi-country European setting.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years in People Operations with 2+ years leading a team.
• Deep knowledge of Spanish labor regulations, contracts, and compliance.
• Experience managing People Operations across distributed European entities (Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Albania).
• Total Rewards, job leveling, salary benchmarking, and CoE reporting experience.
• Experience with HRIS implementations, migrations, and workflow automation.
• Strong project leadership and data-driven decision making.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Italian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of People Ops Specialists.
• Oversee day-to-day employee lifecycle changes and payroll execution; ensure timely onboarding and offboarding.
• Standardize core policies and lead org-structure audits with local HRBPs, TA and Finance.
• Build and maintain job leveling frameworks and salary benchmarks; manage phantom shares and bonuses.
• Own Headcount and CoE reporting; develop dashboards for data-driven decisions.
• Handle multi-country labor disputes and complex employee relations with external counsel.
• Review employment contracts and hiring models; ensure statutory workplace certifications across hubs.
• Lead HRIS migrations and automation tracks for M&A activities.
• Support ESG/ sustainability certifications in People Ops.
