Job summary

BizAway is seeking a People Operations Team Leader to manage a distributed team and partner with regional HRBPs across Spain, the Netherlands, Italy and Albania. You will drive compensation and benefits foundations, M&A support, and data-driven decision making while hands-on guiding administrative and employee relations processes.

The role involves leading payroll across countries, policy standardization, and HRIS migrations, with a focus on compliance and ongoing ESG initiatives.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in People Operations with leadership responsibilities.
• Expertise in Spanish statutory labor regulations and multi-country compliance.
• Experience across distributed European entities (Spain/Italy/Netherlands/Albania).
• Hands-on in job-leveling, salary benchmarking, and equity/phantom share programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of People Ops Specialists and upskill managers on labor compliance.
• Oversee day-to-day employee lifecycle changes and payroll execution across multiple countries.
• Own the annual People Ops calendar, standardize core policies, and audit org structure.
• Build job-leveling frameworks and manage compensation, benefits, and reporting.
• Oversee HRIS migrations, automation, and M&A integration activities.
• Manage labor disputes and internal investigations with external counsel.
