Job summary

HappyRobot is seeking a People Operations Specialist to own onboarding end-to-end, manage benefits and leave across multiple countries, and coordinate with PEO/EOR partners. You’ll keep Rippling accurate and drive automation to streamline processes.

You’ll work across the US, Spain, UK, EMEA, and LATAM, shaping programs as the people function matures while maintaining high data quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in HR, People Operations, or a generalist People role.
• Hands-on HRIS experience (Rippling) and comfort learning new systems quickly.
• Breadth across the employee lifecycle: onboarding, benefits, payroll, compliance, employee support.
• Comfort with international HR complexity across multiple countries and EOR/PEO models.
• Strong coordination skills with vendors and stakeholders.
• AI-native and automation-oriented mindset in HR operations.
• High ownership, precision, and accountability in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to for employee questions and document repetitive queries to improve docs.
• Own onboarding from offer to first day, including checks, work authorization, and access.
• Run benefits and leave administration across countries of operation.
• Manage day-to-day coordination with PEO and EOR partners across US, Spain, UK, EMEA, LATAM.
• Keep HRIS (Rippling) clean, accurate, and up-to-date.
