Job summary

W Executive España is seeking a General Manager for a leading packaging/food business in Spain. You will own strategic direction, operations, and profitable growth across manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial functions.

The role requires strong P&L leadership, industrial know-how, and the ability to drive lean improvements, safety culture, and stakeholder alignment with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in food or packaging industries.
• Proven full P&L ownership and delivering sustainable financial results.
• Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, operational excellence, and supply chain management.
• Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership.
• Solid commercial acumen, with experience supporting business development and managing key customer relationships.
• Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, CapEx planning, and profitability management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at both operational and executive levels.

Responsibilities

• Assume full P&L accountability, driving revenue growth, profitability, and overall business performance.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Report regularly to senior leadership on financial performance, operational KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for business expansion, operational efficiencies, and sustainable growth.
• Provide strategic oversight of manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain operations.
• Drive operational excellence by improving OEE, asset utilization, and reducing waste.
• Champion a strong Health, Safety, and Environment culture across the organization.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives through Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other methodologies.
• Oversee commercial strategy, developing new business opportunities and strengthening customer relationships.
• Align manufacturing capabilities with market requirements to optimize product mix and profitability.
• Monitor industry trends and sustainability initiatives to strengthen competitive positioning.
