Irving Knight Group in southern Spain is seeking a Production Director to lead operations at a specialist production facility. You will oversee production planning, maintenance and capital projects, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery for Iberian customers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and a track record of delivering continuous improvement in industrial manufacturing, with English at least B2 and willingness to relocate to southern Spain.

A well-established international manufacturing business is seeking a Production Director to lead operations at one of its specialist production facilities in southern Spain.

The site manufactures printed and converted packaging products for customers across the Iberian market. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production meets customer requirements, agreed budgets and the company’s standards for safety, quality, service, productivity and cost.

This is a broad plant leadership role covering production, maintenance, continuous improvement, inventory, budgeting, health and safety and capital investment and reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning, scheduling and site output.
• Plan and optimise manufacturing processes and methods.
• Drive continuous-improvement initiatives across the facility.
• Manage raw-material and finished-goods inventory.
• Ensure customer orders are produced and dispatched on time.
• Develop training plans to support employee capability and operational improvement.
• Lead health and safety across all plant activities.
• Identify, propose and manage capital-investment projects.
• Work closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to align production with customer requirements.
• Support the ongoing improvement of productivity, quality, service and cost performance.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) required.
• At least 4 years’ experience as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager or Production Director in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Alternatively, at least 10 years’ experience in a senior production role within packaging, printing, paperboard converting or a related manufacturing sector.
• A track record of delivering continuous improvement.
• English language skills at a minimum B2 level.
• Willingness to relocate to, or current residence in, southern Spain.
