ERNI, an International Service Delivery Center in Spain, seeks an Embedded Firmware Architect to develop and enhance firmware for readouts and instruments. You will work with electronics and other engineers to translate product requirements into hardware‑aware software on bare‑metal ARM Cortex‑M MCUs.
Join a team that connects sensors to instrument behavior, with a hybrid model (office 2 days/week) and opportunities to grow across varied projects and sectors.
Do you want to work for an International Service Delivery Center in Spain as an Embedded Firmware Architect?
You will develop and improve embedded firmware in C and C++, working mainly on bare-metal ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers. Together with electronics and other engineering colleagues, you will turn product requirements into working functionality, investigate issues on real hardware and verify that your changes behave as intended.
Understand the signal. Find the cause. Make the instrument work reliably.
An unexpected measurement can come from the sensor, the electronics, the timing or the firmware. If you enjoy following that trail from code to hardware, this role could suit you. At ERNI, you will work with a customer developing instruments for vacuum measurement, leak detection and process control. Your firmware will connect the physical measurement to the behavior of the instrument.
We work on a wide variety of projects, technologies, and sectors, allowing you to keep growing in different environments. If a project ends or you feel ready for a new challenge, we'll find another one that aligns with your professional development.
We ask you to be available for key meetings. Need to leave for a doctor’s appointment or to pick up your child from school? No problem. We trust you to deliver quality work within your 40-hour work week.
Our model is hybrid: we usually go to the office 2 days a week, but we love seeing each other’s faces; the best stories always happen in the office!
We will discuss it during the first call. If it is important to you, feel free to ask!
