DACH M&A Origination Lead for Founder-Led SaaS

Job summary

Camino Search is building a Madrid-based deal team focused on origination for the DACH region. You will own the top of the funnel, identifying founder-led SaaS and services businesses and engaging with founders in German to drive opportunities toward LOI and closing.

You will build relationships with owners, qualify opportunities, and support execution on live deals, working with a wider deal team in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent German (native or near-native) for daily founder conversations.
• M&A experience in industry, ideally corporate development or in-house M&A.
• Genuine appetite for origination: comfortable picking up the phone and starting conversations.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen to assess quality and fit.
• Self-driven, organised and able to manage a large pipeline.
• Interest in software and B2B services businesses.

Responsibilities

• Identify and map founder-led SaaS and services businesses across DACH.
• Direct outreach to founders and owners in German via phone, email and LinkedIn.
• Build long-term relationships with owners, often over months or years.
• Qualify opportunities and present internally, including initial financial review and rationale.
• Support execution on live deals, including valuation, due diligence coordination and negotiation.
• Develop a network of intermediaries, advisers and industry contacts across the region.
