Job summary

Hiab is a pioneer in smart and sustainable on-road load-handling solutions. We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our Product Support Team, working closely with customers and bridging production lines with end-users.

You will bring crane expertise to provide first and second-line support and drive continuous product improvement. You will handle on-site field support, root-cause analyses, and cross-functional communication with R&D, QA, and management.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in engineering (or equivalent technical education) with some years of experience in technical service, workshop, or design within load handling equipment
• Strong fact-based problem-solving skills with hands-on experience using customer support IT systems, ticketing processes, and technical diagnostics
• Fluent in English (C1 level required); proficiency in Spanish or Italian is a strong advantage
• Customer-focused, highly communicative team player willing to travel up to 60-80 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Receive, track, and resolve technical claims, tickets, and inquiries regarding loader heavy and superheavy cranes, parts, and accessories
• Provide on-site field support, perform technical audits, and conduct field investigations within your area of expertise
• Establish detailed problem reports, facilitate cross-functional root cause analyses, and manage the Product Life Cycle (PLC) support process
• Act as the communication bridge by ensuring efficient feedback loops between customers, R&D, Quality Assurance, and regional management
• Participate in New Product Development (NPD) projects as a subject matter expert and recommend process or product modifications Plan and execute technical training, capture ongoing training needs, and help distribute service letters and product recalls.
