Air Products in Barcelona, Spain is seeking a Collections Specialist to join the Credit & Collections team. The role manages customer accounts and outstanding balances, collaborating with customers and internal teams to support timely payments and resolve account issues.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Understanding of customer accounts and end-to-end business processes.
• Basic accounting knowledge in customer accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Ensure timely collection of outstanding customer balances in line with Air Products’ Credit & Collections Escalation Policy.
• Respond to customer calls and emails within department targets; identify customer complaints and escalate appropriately.
• Proactively make outbound collection calls to customers to drive strong daily productivity and maintain an effective, action oriented portfolio.
• Anticipate and communicate with Customer Services, Sales Representatives, and customers regarding disputed items, potential payment issues, and credit hold situations.
• Support and act as backup for fellow collector associates as required.
• Liaise with the Credit & Collections Team Lead on all credit related issues.
• Maintain accurate and up to date logs of individual customer interactions and account information.
