Job summary

Stayforlong in Barcelona is seeking a Product Manager to own Checkout end-to-end, turning booking intent into confirmed bookings and growing ancillary revenue. You will partner with Payments & Fraud to deliver a practical roadmap, balance friction and conversion, ensure PCI DSS compliance, and lead continuous discovery with cross-functional teams.

Fluency in Spanish and English, 3+ years in product management at a fast-growing software company, and hands-on payments experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager at a fast-growing software company, building products with high traffic volumes.
• Hands-on product experience in payments: you have worked on payment service providers, payment methods, 3DS/SCA, fraud, refunds or chargebacks.
• Working knowledge of PCI DSS and what it implies for product decisions in payment flows (scope, tokenization and handling of cardholder data).
• A strong product mindset: you own decisions end-to-end and turn ambiguity into structured initiatives.
• Data-driven by default: comfortable with KPIs and A/B tests; base decisions on numbers.
• Excellent with process and Agile methodologies, and fluent with product development and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for Checkout end to end with full autonomy, including ancillaries and cross-selling.
• Lead the strategy to reduce and mitigate booking errors, identifying root causes and designing mitigations with cross-functional partners.
• Translate the Payments strategy into a prioritized, deliverable roadmap covering providers, methods, partial payments, wallet and refunds.
• Own the customer experience of payment, balancing friction and conversion, including 3DS/SCA, fraud checks, and refunds.
• Ensure PCI DSS compliance is embedded in the checkout and payment roadmap and changes touching cardholder data.
• Lead continuous discovery through customer interviews, funnel analysis, and rapid validation to guide decisions.
• Design and run experiments in the checkout funnel and measure impact with product and business metrics.
• Raise and resolve cross-team blockers early and keep stakeholders aligned with transparent communication.
