Job purpose: This role supports the organization, management, and distribution of essential relief items within a reception center. The primary purpose is to ensure that distribution processes are conducted efficiently, orderly, and with dignity, adhering to established vulnerability criteria and procedures. The position contributes to the effective delivery of humanitarian aid to migrants and refugees, ensuring they receive necessary non-food items (NFIs) such as hygiene kits, clothing, food, and water. This involves meticulous record-keeping, inventory tracking, and clear communication with beneficiaries regarding upcoming distributions, all while upholding the principles of humanitarian assistance.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include supporting the organization, management, and distribution of essential relief items like hygiene kits, clothing, food, and water within the reception center. This involves ensuring distribution processes are efficient, orderly, dignified, and align with vulnerability criteria and established procedures. The role requires ensuring the accurate completion of distribution lists and assisting in the tracking and updating of stock inventory as needed. Additionally, the position involves helping to inform beneficiaries about upcoming distributions. The role also encompasses performing any other assigned duties to support the operational needs of the center.
Education: A minimum of a secondary school diploma is required. A university degree from an accredited academic institution with relevant work experience is considered an advantage.
Work experience: Relevant work experience is considered an advantage. Experience working directly with migrants and/or refugees, and experience in a multicultural environment are desirable.
