act digital is seeking an experienced IT support consultant to join our team in providing day-to-day application maintenance and Tier-2 support. You will handle MSSQL and other databases, assist in releases and upgrades, and contribute to knowledge transfer and end-user training.

Fluency in English is required, and a high school diploma is accepted. The role may involve 24×7 standby on-call and shift work as needed.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of experience in application maintenance and general IT support.
• Experience with client/server applications in Windows/Linux environments.
• Experience with Database Management.
• Very good English written and verbal skills.

Job Description:

You will join our team of experts in technical support. The consultant is expected to bring specialist or expert-level proficiency in application maintenance and general IT support, preferably with experience providing Tier-2 support for business applications, enterprise tools or database administration. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Team Lead.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of applications and tools for the organization
• Perform database administration tasks of MSSQL and open source databases
• Resolve in a timely manner Tier-2 application issues and escape Tier-3 issues to Designated focal points
• Assist in the evaluation, configuration and installation of new releases in accordance with established configuration management standards
• Assist in applications structural changes required during system upgrades
• Assist in the deployment of tools and in the implementation of processes to assist in operational support
• Assist in responding to application-related queries from end users in remote locations
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to Tier-1 and deliver end-user training sessions on the application functionality.
• Assist in the development and in the updating of software applications related documentation, including technical documentation and system reports, attend operational and other meetings
• Provide standby and on-call 24×7 support, and work in shifts when requested;
• Provide other ad hoc support either within your team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period
  

of time on a part-time or full-time basis upon request from the senior management

• Good working knowledge of client/server applications in a Windows/Linux environment;
• Good working knowledge of Database Management;
• Very good knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required.
