Trigyn Technologies is seeking an Application Support Technician to work on-site at our client site in Valencia, Spain. The role emphasizes expert-level application maintenance and Tier-2 support for business applications, enterprise tools or databases.

You will collaborate with the DSM Team Lead and other DSM members, performing database administration, release installations, and knowledge transfer. The position requires strong English skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Formación

• Three to five years of experience in application maintenance and general IT support.
• Good working knowledge of client/server applications in a Windows/Linux environment.
• Good working knowledge of Database Management.
• Very good knowledge of English (both written and verbal).
• High school diploma

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of applications and tools for the client and partners.
• Perform database administration tasks of MSSQL and open source databases.
• Resolve Tier-2 application issues and elevate Tier-3 issues to Designated focal points.
• Assist in the evaluation, configuration and installation of new releases in accordance with established configuration management standards.
• Assist in applications structural changes required during system upgrades.
• Assist in the deployment of tools and in the implementation of processes to assist in operational support.
• Assist in responding to application-related queries from end users in remote locations.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to Tier-1 and deliver end-user training sessions on the application functionality.
• Assist in the development and in the updating of software applications related documentation, including technical documentation and system reports, attend operational and other meetings.
• Provide standby and on‑call 24×7 support, and work in shifts when requested.
• Provide other ad hoc support either within your team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part‑time or full‑time basis upon request from the senior management.
• Perform other duties, as required.

Trigyn has a contractual opportunity for an Application Support Technician. This resource will be working at our client site in Valencia, Spain.

Job Responsibilities:

The consultant is expected to bring specialist or expert-level proficiency in application maintenance and general IT support, preferably with experience providing Tier-2 support for business applications, enterprise tools or database administration. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the DSM Team Lead, and in close collaboration with other DSM members and units.

Scope of Work / Duties of Consultant:

• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of applications and tools for the client and partners;
• Perform database administration tasks of MSSQL and open source databases;
• Resolve in a timely manner Tier-2 application issues and elevate Tier-3 issues to Designated focal points;
• Assist in the evaluation, configuration and installation of new releases in accordance with established configuration management standards;

Required Technical Skills:

• Three to five years of experience in application maintenance and general IT support;
• Good working knowledge of client/server applications in a Windows/Linux environment;
• Good working knowledge of Database Management;
• Very good knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required.
• High school diploma

The resource SHOULD have the following skills and experience:

• At least three years of experience administering Microsoft Windows server, SQL Server databases and .NET applications.
• Good working knowledge of MySQL, RedHat Linux server, and Drupal applications
• Good working knowledge of global Active Directory Architecture, AWS and Azure
• Familiarity with client policy framework for International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) or compliant operational concepts and processes
• Knowledge of another official language is desirable

Required Soft Skills:

• Ability to grasp complex concepts, logical and analytical approach to solving problems
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team of diverse skills
• Willingness to improve knowledge and skills and learn new technologies

Desirable certifications:

• Certifications and advanced training in Microsoft technologies
• Certification and familiarity with ITIL concepts and processes
