Job summary

MERAK in Madrid seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage end-to-end payables, vendor relations, and payment runs. You will code invoices in SAP, ensure timely payments, and maintain master data, in line with UK/Spain regulatory requirements.

With 2–4 years in AP and SAP FI experience, you will support month-end close and KPI reporting while ensuring accuracy and compliance across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in accounts payable within a structured finance environment.
• Experience processing high-volume invoices with multi-level approvals.
• SAP FI (A/P) experience preferred.
• Knowledge of UK VAT requirements and related payroll/obligation context.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and code to cost centers, GL accounts, and projects in SAP.
• Manage invoice approvals and chase approvers to avoid delays; execute weekly/bi-weekly payments.
• Maintain vendor master data, respond to vendor queries, and handle disputes.
• Support month-end A/P close, including accruals and GR/IR reconciliation.
• Prepare AP reports and support internal/external audits.
