Universidade de Vigo, located in Ourense, Spain, invites applications for a Recognised Researcher (R2) PhD position. The role focuses on preparing and documenting biochemical datasets, applying QSAR, docking and graph-based models, and enabling reproducible pipelines.

Strong academic background and research outputs are required. The contract is full-time (37.5 hours/week) and funded for a temporary period, with a focus on WP4–WP7 activities in molecular AI and biotechnology services.

Formación

• Academic background with strong research experience in chemistry/biochemistry.
• Ability to design and document data pipelines and experiments.
• Proven record of publishing or reporting research results.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and document datasets on molecules, proteins, interactions, bioactivity, ADMET properties, biomarkers.

Offer Description

Prepare and document datasets on molecules, proteins, interactions, bioactivity, ADMET properties, biomarkers and other relevant biochemical data. Develop use cases involving QSAR, docking, graph learning, sequence/structure models, generative models and property prediction. Define validation protocols addressing suitable splits, leakage, uncertainty, applicability, reproducibility and chemical/biological plausibility. Implement reproducible notebooks, scripts and pipelines for data preparation, training, evaluation and molecular visualization. Support WP4 on molecular AI and WP5 on services for biotechnology, biomedicine and health. Design case studies, modules and practical exercises for WP7, including the drug-discovery bootcamp, and contribute to software, repositories, reports and publications.
