Universidade de Vigo is seeking a First Stage Researcher (R1) to help plan and deliver science outreach to primary schools in Galicia. You will assist in creating engaging content for the project’s social media and digital channels, and help in collecting data and evaluating outcomes.

The role involves supporting educational activities, coordinating with schools, and contributing to project reporting. It is a 50% part-time, temporary appointment based in Spain.

Formación

• Academic qualifications required.
• Fluent language skills and basic digital literacy.
• Experience with science communication or outreach is a plus.

Offer Description

Preparation and implementation of science outreach activities in primary schools across Galicia.

Support in the creation, editing, and dissemination of content for the project´s social media and digital platforms.

Support in the collection of information, documentation, and evaluation of the activities carried out.

• Item 01: Academic qualifications. Language skills. Digital skills (punctuation: 30)
• Item 02: Professional experience in education, research and/or outreach (up to 10 points). Experience in science communication (up to 15 points). Experience in experimental activities and basic laboratory skills (up to 10 points). Experience in educational activities with children (up to 10 points) (punctuation: 45)
• Item 03: Training related to microbiology, sciences or related fields (up to 7 points). Training related to communication and audiovisuals (up to 3 points) (punctuation: 10)
• Item 04: Personal interview. The interview will be conducted only with those candidates who, in the sum of the merits, reach a minimum of 50 points (punctuation: 15)
