Universidade de Vigo seeks a Researcher in Computer Science for a temporary, full-time position to design and optimize GPU/HPC training and inference workflows using PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow or equivalent frameworks. The role involves developing scalable pipelines and contributing to AI research activities.

The candidate will work on reproducible setups, benchmarking, and collaboration across WP2–WP4, with engagement in Green AI initiatives and hands-on training sessions.

Responsabilidades

• Design and optimize GPU/HPC training and inference workflows using PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow or equivalent frameworks.
• Apply profiling, mixed precision, data/model parallelism, multinode distribution, memory optimization and kernel compilation.
• Develop reproducible examples with containers, environment managers, queues, storage and orchestration in the AI Factory infrastructure.
• Prepare benchmarks on scalability, performance, computing cost, energy use and environmental footprint.
• Support WP2, WP3 and WP4 on platform use, scalable data services and efficient training/inference.
• Contribute to Green AI practices, design HPC/Scientific AI labs, notebooks and guides for WP7, and participate in courses, bootcamps and hands-on sessions.

Offer Description
