Ramboll is seeking an experienced Station Control engineer to design and implement SCADA systems and network solutions, contributing to major European infrastructure projects. You will bridge OT with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimized substations and TSO interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience developing engineering specifications for plant and station control systems for substations in the 30-400 kV range with closed-loop control.
• Experience in SCADA, SRO, and IEC 61850-based substation automation.
• Development of protection philosophies, protection settings, and protection coordination studies for AC/DC systems.
• Design, configure, and maintain station and plant control architectures, including RTUs, PLCs, and protection relays, ensuring reliable integration with SCADA systems.
• Experience with IEC 62443, NIS2, IEC 61508, ISO/IEC 27001, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104 and related frameworks.
• Modeling, simulation, and performance studies using PSCAD, PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Control and protection testing, FAT/SAT, and on-site commissioning.
• Experience with implementing WAMS and WAMPAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop control philosophies for substations and HV/MV networks.
• Specify, design, and apply control and protection solutions for a wide range of complex national and international projects.
• Contribute across all project phases—from concept development and system studies to specification, design, procurement, testing, and commissioning.
• Develop open and closed loop control strategies, development of protection philosophy and protection coordination.
• Design SCADA systems including specification of hardware, protocols and interfaces.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across projects in a highly professional environment.
