Ramboll is seeking a Station Control Engineer to join the Energy division. You will work on substations and HV/MV networks, developing control philosophies and protection schemes for national and international projects.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute through all project phases, and help deliver optimised SCADA and protection solutions. Ramboll values inclusivity and professional growth within a foundation-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Engineering specifications for plant and station control systems for 30–400 kV with closed-loop control.
• Experience in SCADA, SRO, and IEC 61850-based substation automation.
• Development of protection philosophies, protection settings, and coordination studies for AC/DC systems.
• Design, configure, and maintain station architectures with RTUs/PLCs and SCADA integration.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443, NIS2, IEC 61508, ISO/IEC 27001, IEC 61850 and related frameworks.
• Modeling and simulation with PSCAD/PSSE/DIgSILENT PowerFactory and MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement control philosophies for substations and HV/MV networks.
• Specify, design and apply control and protection solutions for national and international projects.
• Contribute across all project phases—from concept development to commissioning.
• Develop open and closed loop control strategies and protection schemes.
• Design SCADA systems including hardware, protocols and interfaces.
