Job summary

Qufora is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead late-stage mechanical development from robust design to production and launch. You will own technical direction and coordinate with Operations and external suppliers to ensure a smooth design transfer and industrialisation process.

In this role you will drive robust, production-ready designs, maintain high-quality documentation, and contribute to design controls in a regulated medical device environment.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years in mechanical product development, with late-stage production experience.
• Experience with injection-moulded plastics, tooling, DFM/DFA and supplier collaboration.
• Strong 3D CAD and 2D drawings skills; SolidWorks preferred.
• Understanding of GPS/GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Proven track record of turning concepts into robust, production-ready designs.
• Experience coordinating technical activities and leading without formal PM role.
• English proficiency; Danish an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of late-stage mechanical development from mature design through launch.
• Develop plastic components and assemblies for robustness and manufacturability.
• Create production-ready 3D models and 2D drawings with proper tolerancing.
• Drive issues to closure and coordinate across operations and suppliers.
• Plan work packages, dependencies and responsibilities across teams.
• Support design verification, validation, and risk management from a mechanical view.
• Contribute to design control and regulatory readiness.
• Strengthen mechanical engineering practices and design reviews.
