Qufora is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead late-stage mechanical development, drive robustness, and ensure successful transfer to production. You will work hands-on with design, tolerances, materials, tooling and verification, while coordinating with Operations and external suppliers.
The role emphasizes ownership, structured problem solving and collaboration across R&D and manufacturing to deliver robust medical devices ready for launch.
Can you take mechanical product development from a mature design to a robust, manufacturable and verified solution—and create the structure and technical momentum needed to get it across the finish line?
Qufora is a fast-growing, design-focused medical device company. We enable people with chronic bowel disorders to live a more fulfilled life by developing intuitive products that make everyday routines easier. We are now looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will play a key role in the later stages of product development and strengthen mechanical engineering as a technical discipline across our R&D organisation.
This role is for an experienced mechanical engineer who is at their best when concepts have matured and the challenge becomes turning them into robust products ready for production and launch. You will work hands–on with mechanical design, tolerances, drawings, materials, tooling, verification and design transfer, with a natural focus on manufacturability and close collaboration with Operations and external suppliers.
At the same time, you will take senior technical ownership within the mechanical engineering domain. You will help create structure, drive technical issues to closure, coordinate mechanical activities and ensure that important decisions and deliverables move forward. This is not a Project Manager role, but it requires the ability to plan and coordinate technical work, bring the right people together, follow up and maintain momentum across interfaces.
You bring structure to complex technical work and have a strong drive to finish what has been started. You are analytical and detail‑oriented without losing sight of progress, priorities and the overall product. You are comfortable challenging technical assumptions, making issues explicit and following through until decisions are made and actions are completed. You naturally build strong working relationships with Operations, external manufacturers, suppliers and cross‑functional colleagues, and you know that a good design is not finished until it can be manufactured robustly and consistently. You enjoy being the senior technical reference point in your field while remaining hands‑on and close to engineering work.
You will join an inclusive, creative and open workplace with dedicated colleagues who care deeply about improving quality of life for our users. We offer an ambitious development environment where you will have significant influence on both our products and the way we work with mechanical engineering. You will have the opportunity to combine hands‑on engineering with technical leadership and play an important role in turning promising designs into robust products ready for patients, healthcare professionals and scalable production.
