Job summary

LEGO Group in Denmark is seeking a Team Leader for Building Experience Development to guide a team delivering high-quality physical and digital building experiences for LEGO builders of tomorrow.

You will lead people, priorities and delivery, ensuring that building instructions are intuitive, age-appropriate and grounded in consumer insight, while collaborating across functions in a hybrid Scrum environment.

• Several years of management experience in product development, innovation, design or related area.
• Direct people leadership experience.
• Experience in a design organisation and leading medium to large projects.
• Strong leadership with ability to set direction and empower a diverse team.

Job Description As Team Leader for LEGO Building Experience Development, you will lead a team creating high-quality physical and digital building experiences for LEGO builders of tomorrow.

You will guide people, priorities and delivery, ensuring that our building instructions are intuitive, age-appropriate and grounded in consumer insight.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the LEGO Building Experience Development team, balancing internal customer needs, priorities and delivery demands.
• Take responsibility for people leadership and employee-related activities, guiding the team across day-to-day work, projects and product deliveries.
• Support the development of team members through regular one-to-one conversations, coaching and constructive sparring.
• Set the tactical and operational direction for the department, ensuring strong delivery across tasks, projects and product development activities.
• Align project plans, resource capacity, milestones and deadlines with key stakeholders, creating transparency around progress, risks and dependencies.
• Drive and support consumer building experience testing, ensuring insights and learnings are translated back into the team’s work.
• Lead within a hybrid Scrum environment and help the team continuously develop its agile ways of working.
• Foster a highly collaborative One Team environment across functions, disciplines and stakeholder groups.
• Help integrate new building and play experiences into relevant digital solutions and building instructions across physical and digital touchpoints.

Do you have what it takes?

• A handful of years of management experience within product development, innovation, design or another relevant business area.
• At least some years of direct people leadership experience.
• Experience working within a design organisation and leading medium to large projects.
• Strong leadership capabilities, with the confidence to set direction, make impactful decisions and empower a diverse team.
• Experience supporting people development through coaching, regular feedback and one-to-one conversations.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum principles and experience working within agile delivery environments.
• Proven stakeholder management, collaboration and communication skills across different levels of a matrix organisation.
• The ability to translate strategic and tactical priorities into clear actions and implementation plans.
• Experience creating transparency around progress, status, risks and delivery in relevant decision-making forums.
• A strong process and quality focus, combined with a self-driven, results-oriented and proactive approach.
• A collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with a high level of change readiness and a constructive can-do attitude.
• Advanced written and spoken English skills.
