Job Description Just imagine people leadership that helps shape how Model Design works, grows, and succeeds across LEGO Design. Then make it real. About the role We are looking for a senior people leader to join one of our Creative Groups within LEGO Design. This role combines direct people leadership with broader leadership responsibility across the Model Design community, with a focus on strengthening leadership consistency, shared ways of working, and talent development. It is an opportunity to lead with both depth and breadth: providing dedicated people leadership within one creative group, in close partnership with creative leads, while also contributing to the wider community of people leaders across Model Design. The role calls for a leader who can develop individuals and teams, build alignment across a matrixed environment, and help drive organizational effectiveness in a creative setting. Please note: This role is based in Billund, Denmark.
Provide people leadership for one creative group within Model Design, supporting individual growth, engagement, wellbeing, and performance. Work in close partnership with creative leads to ensure clear priorities, strong collaboration, and a cohesive leadership approach. Contribute to the wider Model Design community, helping to strengthen consistency in leadership practices, frameworks, and people processes. Strengthen design culture through leadership development, team effectiveness, and engagement initiatives. Assess current and future capability needs and help define development actions that support strategic priorities. Support workforce and resource planning through a strong understanding of organizational capabilities, development needs, and business direction. Enable individuals to create meaningful development plans aligned with both business priorities and personal aspirations. Build alignment across stakeholders and partners to support effective decision-making and shared outcomes. Serve as a trusted leadership role model, demonstrating curiosity, courage, empathy, and sound judgment in a creative environment.
Lead and develop a high-performing Creative Group, fostering growth, wellbeing, engagement, performance, and long-term capability. Strengthen consistency across leadership practices, frameworks, people processes, and ways of working throughout Model Design. Drive organizational development, change initiatives, and cross-community efforts that enhance leadership effectiveness and team performance. Create clear development pathways that align individual aspirations with business priorities and future workforce needs. Shape future-focused capability plans that support strategic ambitions, talent growth, and organizational readiness. Build trusted relationships across leadership levels and collaborate effectively within a matrixed environment to drive alignment and impact. Balance strategic thinking with operational execution to deliver practical solutions, improved tools, and scalable frameworks. Champion an inclusive, empowering leadership culture that enables creative teams to do their best work and thrive in a design-led environment. If you've worked in a role where you developed people, shaped organizational practices, and influenced outcomes beyond your own team, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to build alignment, strengthen capability, and create the conditions for individuals, teams, and leaders to succeed.
You’ll be part of the Model Design community within the LEGO Design, supporting one Creative Group while contributing across a wider leadership network. We work closely across organizational boundaries and partner with creative leads, and fellow people leaders to achieve shared goals. Our hybrid rhythm supports regular connection and collaboration, while giving people flexibility in how they work. We’re looking for someone who can galvanise others, enable success through others, demonstrate tenacity when navigating complexity, and bring curiosity, courage, empathy, clear judgment, and an inclusive leadership style to everything they do. This role offers the opportunity to shape both people and leadership practice: supporting one creative group directly while contributing to the continued development of the wider Model Design leadership community. You will play an important role in creating the conditions for designers, teams, and leaders to succeed. If you are motivated by the opportunity to combine people leadership, organisational development, and community impact within LEGO Design, we would love to hear from you.
Success means helping establish consistent, effective people leadership across the Model Design community while supporting the continued growth of designers, teams, and leaders. Over the next 12 to 18 months, you’ll play an important role in helping the organization successfully adapt to a new model, strengthen shared expectations, leadership practices, and ways of working. You’ll work closely with model design leaders and creative leads to build a connected leadership community that enables creative excellence at scale.
