Job summary

Danske Commodities is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build and operate critical parts of our internal data platform. You will influence architecture, mentor colleagues and help modernize the platform that directly supports trading activities.

You will join our Data Platform Infrastructure team, working with Python, C#/.NET and Rust in a cloud, containerized environment with CI/CD practices. You will contribute to compute platforms, streaming infra and ML tooling.

Qualifications

• hold a relevant educational background within computer science, software engineering or similar – or equivalent practical experience
• have a minimum of 8 years’ experience as a software engineer building and operation production systems
• are proficient in C#/.NET and Python
• have deep hands-on experience with cloud, containers, infrastructure as code and CI/CD (e.g. Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions)
• are proficient in English – both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• designing and building core platform capabilities across cloud data infrastructure, .NET and streaming platforms that enable data to move through the business, or across our machine-learning platform and feature store
• making the platform reliable and observable on performance, capacity, cost, monitoring and incident follow‑up
• reviewing and challenging architecture and design decisions, bringing in practices from outside Danske Commodities
• mentoring engineers in the team and helping newer colleagues get productive quickly
• building self‑service 'golden paths' so other teams can build on the platform without waiting for us
