Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, software engineering, or related production data role.
• Strong Python, SQL, and Spark skills with production data pipelines.
• Experience with modern data platforms like Databricks, Kafka, Snowflake, Airflow, Azure.
• Experience supporting ML workflows including feature engineering and training data.
• Deployment skills for production workloads including CI/CD and containers (Kubernetes).
• Understanding of data security patterns using Azure services.
• Hands-on experience maintaining production data pipelines with quality controls and monitoring.
• Experience with financial crime prevention / regulated environments is a plus.
• GDPR-sensitive data, regulator reporting, or data governance experience is valued.
• Nice to have: GX, dbt-expectations, Soda, Deequ, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Clear communication in English with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and continuously improve AML data products, data models, and interfaces with ownership, lineage, and quality controls.
• Design robust ETL pipelines and interfaces for secure data exchange across systems.
• Translate FCP/AML requirements into durable production systems and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Partner with FCP/AML experts on transaction monitoring, client risk rating, and surveillance initiatives.
• Define automated checks for completeness, consistency, validity, and governance standards.
• Own observability, alerting, incident response, and production support for critical data assets.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, reusable patterns, and secure coding practices.
