Job summary

Danske Commodities is hiring aSenior Data Platform Engineer to help design, build, and run key parts of our internal data platform. You will influence architecture and mentor colleagues as the platform modernizes, with impact on trading activities.

You will work with Python, C#/.NET and Rust, in a team focused on automation, observability, and scalable data tooling. This role offers on-site work from our Aarhus HQ and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• hold a relevant educational background within computer science, software engineering or similar – or equivalent practical experience
• have a minimum of 8 years’ experience as a software engineer building and operation production systems
• are proficient in C#/.NET and Python
• have deep hands‑on experience with cloud, containers, infrastructure as code and CI/CD (e.g. Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions)
• are proficient in English - both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Design and build core platform capabilities across cloud data infrastructure, .NET and streaming.
• Ensure platform reliability, observability, performance, cost, monitoring.
• Review and challenge architecture decisions, adopting best practices.
• Mentor engineers and help teammates become productive quickly.
• Create self-service paths so teams can build on the platform.
