Job summary

BOLIA is seeking a Quality Manager to elevate quality across our furniture and design products. You will lead the quality agenda from design to customer delivery, embedding compliance into everyday work and collaborating with product, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.

You will champion data-driven improvements, establish KPIs, and drive supplier quality programs while developing our Compliance Responsible for proactive regulatory adherence. This is based at our Aarhus HQ with some travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading quality initiatives in furniture/design/manufacturing.
• Strong track record of implementing compliance programs and audits.
• Experience in driving supplier quality and product durability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and continuously improve BOLIA's quality strategy, standards, and processes with Product Managers.
• Own quality across the product journey from development to post-launch performance.
• Lead root-cause analyses and corrective actions for durability and compliance.
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs and performance metrics for data-driven decisions.
• Drive supplier quality development and conduct audits with manufacturing partners.
• Ensure robust validation through testing, documentation, and approvals pre-launch.
• Own the compliance framework translating regulations into practical processes with stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the Compliance Responsible for proactive regulatory adherence.

Job description

As our new Quality Manager, you will play a key role in bringing this ambition to life. You will drive quality excellence across our products, suppliers, and processes, while ensuring that our designs meet relevant regulatory and compliance requirements. You will take the lead on both our quality agenda and compliance area, supported by our dedicated Compliance Responsible.

Your main focus will be to strengthen quality throughout the entire product journey – from design and development to production and the customer experience. Along the way, you will ensure that compliance is naturally integrated into the way we work.

You will be based at our headquarters in Aarhus, with approximately 10–20 travel days per year.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be To

• Define, develop, and continuously improve BOLIA's quality strategy, standards, and processes in close collaboration with our Product Managers.
• Take ownership of quality throughout the entire product journey, from development and sourcing to manufacturing and post-launch performance, working closely with our Range & Design team.
• Inspire a quality-first mindset across BOLIA, turning insights from testing, claims, customer feedback, and supplier collaboration into meaningful and lasting improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to strengthen product durability, functionality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction.
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs, reporting, and performance metrics to support data-driven decisions.
• Drive supplier quality development, audits, and performance reviews in close collaboration with our manufacturing partners.
• Ensure effective quality validation through testing, documentation, and approval processes before our products are launched.
• Take ownership of our compliance framework, ensuring that regulatory requirements are translated into practical processes across product development, sourcing, and supplier management, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Lead and develop our Compliance Responsible, ensuring a proactive approach to compliance with relevant legislation, standards, certifications, and market requirements.

• Brings solid experience in quality management, ideally from the furniture, design, or manufacturing industry.
• Has a strong understanding of quality standards, product development, and regulatory compliance.
• Has a genuine passion for quality, craftsmanship, and creating products that are made to last.
• Knows how to build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners, turning collaboration into meaningful improvements.
• Has an analytical mindset and a structured approach, with the ability to identify challenges, find solutions, and prevent issues before they arise.
• Is a natural leader who inspires others, shares knowledge, and creates a strong sense of ownership.
• Enjoys working across teams and functions, bringing people together to achieve shared goals.
• Takes initiative, challenges existing ways of working, and turns ideas into action with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Is fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken.
