Job description

CHRO

Are you ready to shape the people, culture and leadership agenda of an ambitious Scandinavian design company with strong international growth and long-term ownership? BOLIA is looking for a strategic, values-driven and commercially minded Chief Human Resources Officer.

BOLIA is an international Scandinavian design company creating contemporary furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories in collaboration with renowned designers. With a made‑to‑order production model that ensures high quality and scalability, BOLIA operates through concept stores in major cities, BOLIA.com and a strong wholesale network. As part of Lars Larsen Group, BOLIA benefits from long‑term ownership, financial solidity and a strong strategic foundation. BOLIA is characterised by creativity, craftsmanship and a commitment to sustainable value creation.

As CHRO, you will hold overall responsibility for BOLIA’s global People & Development agenda. As a member of the Executive Management Team, you will work closely with the CEO, the Board of Directors and the rest of the organisation to develop and execute a people strategy that supports BOLIA’s ambitious growth plans, international expansion and continued commercial success.

You will lead a diverse and highly skilled People & Development organisation, covering recruitment, talent development, leadership development, training, HR operations, employee engagement and workplace environment. The role combines strategic leadership with a strong hands‑on approach and requires a leader who actively engages with colleagues across the organisation and leads by example.

Your primary responsibilities
  • Define and execute BOLIA’s global People & Development strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth ambitions and long‑term business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the organisation, translating business priorities into a strong people, leadership and culture agenda.
  • Drive the recruitment and training process for HQ positions and for new market openings.
  • Further strengthen BOLIA’s unique culture and values, ensuring a highly engaged, motivated and customer‑focused organisation across all markets.
  • Lead and develop the global People & Development function, creating scalable structures, processes and capabilities that support future growth.
  • Drive talent attraction, leadership development and succession initiatives that position BOLIA as an employer of choice and secure the competencies needed for continued expansion.
  • Support international growth through people initiatives related to new market entries, store openings and organisational development across countries and functions.
  • Act as a visible ambassador for BOLIA’s culture, values and “we before I” mindset, fostering collaboration across the organisation, Lars Larsen Group and external partners.

You hold a relevant master's degree within human resources, organisational development, business economics or a related field, combined with substantial leadership experience from an international organisation. Ideally, you bring experience from retail, consumer goods, lifestyle or another customer‑centric business with multiple markets and strong growth ambitions.

You have a proven track record of translating strategy, culture and business objectives into concrete people initiatives that strengthen engagement, leadership capability and organisational performance. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels and have a clear hands‑on working style. You possess strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and create impact across an international organisation.

You are collaborative, commercially minded and people-oriented, balancing strategic vision with operational execution. You energise those around you, communicate with clarity and authenticity, and have a genuine passion for developing people, leaders and organisations. You thrive in dynamic environments where growth, culture and business results go hand in hand.
