Job summary

Ramboll in Aarhus is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a team of HV, MV and LV specialists focused on offshore wind and energy transition projects. You will contribute to concept studies, detailed design, EPC and international follow-on engineering across global projects.

Key tasks include routing design, cable ratings, site support, and evaluation of test results. A university degree in Electrical Engineering is required with experience in HV cable systems.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering.
• +2 years’ experience in underground HV cable system route design, civil works and installation, 66KV up to 400KV.
• Experience in Cymcap or other cable rating software.
• Experience in working with cable related international and local standards.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and German languages are a plus.
• Experience in cable accessories is a plus.
• Junior/graduated candidates with cable system design experience welcome.

Responsibilities

• Review project documents, gap analysis, and prepare technical reports.
• Client and third-party management (civil, substation, crossing, etc).
• Cable rating and thermal calculations.
• Underground cable routing design and interface with transition bay, substation, and civil works.
• Underground cable route development and installation strategy (direct burial, HDD and drilling, crossing design).
• Site visits prior to and during installation, commissioning support, cable factory visit and test inspection (travel may be required).
• Preparation of inspection and test plan, reviewing test results, handling non-conformities during manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
