Job summary

Starwood Hotels and Resorts seeks a Banquet Manager to oversee full banquet and event operations, coordinating menus, staffing, setup and timing with Culinary and F&B. The role requires strong organization and the ability to lead a team to deliver outstanding service for corporate and high-end events.

You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery, while maintaining high standards of guest experience in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in banquet management or a similar role within hospitality.
• Experience from a luxury hotel or high-end events environment is an asset.
• Strong understanding of event operations, service standards, timing and execution.
• Ability to coordinate with Culinary and F&B to ensure smooth planning and execution.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple events and moving parts.

About you...

• At least 2 years of experience in banquet management or a similar role within hospitality.
• Experience from a luxury hotel or high-end events environment is an asset.
• Strong understanding of event operations, service standards, timing and execution.
• You work closely with Culinary and F&B to ensure smooth coordination from planning through to execution.
• You are highly organised and able to manage multiple events, priorities and moving parts simultaneously.
• You have experience working with external companies, corporate clients and event partners, ensuring clear communication and seamless delivery.
• You lead by example, motivating and supporting your team to deliver consistently high service standards.
• You have a strong eye for detail and take ownership of the guest experience, from setup and service to breakdown.
• You remain calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment where timing is essential.
• You are flexible to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
