We are seeking a scientist in the field of energy economics to join our Department of Economics. The position is to be filled as soon as possible. The focus is on land-use oriented energy economics concerning sustainability transformations, evaluating renewable energy policies, optimizing emerging energy landscapes, and analyzing climate and energy policies, including CDR options. The role involves collecting, systematizing, and applying quantitative and qualitative approaches to support policy recommendations.

• Analyze renewable energy systems, landscapes, and economics of carbon dioxide removal

• Master’s or PhD in economics or related fields such as institutional, environmental, or energy economics
• Experience with quantitative methods like econometrics or agent-based modeling
• Knowledge of energy, environmental, or land-use policies is advantageous
