The Data Platform Team contributes to this mission by providing the foundation of data‑driven work, both for our colleagues, and for our customers. Ranging from metrics that measure our product usage to facts and figures that our customers use as a compass to guide them towards improving their business.

All these insights require careful analysis and modeling, and that’s why we’re looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (f/m/d) that thrives in a creative, changing environment, loves to build great data products, and is passionate about positively impacting business decisions through data. You will support a diverse team consisting of Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers and Data Analysts that utilize cloud‑based technologies to manage a large variety of datasets tailored for an even larger number of use cases. A Product Owner and Agile Coach guide us forward, in a cross‑functional way. We believe in the "You build it, you own it" philosophy, where you take charge of shepherding analyses through every stage until they deliver value to the business.

• Gather requirements from various departments to clarify their data and reporting needs
• Profile data to understand quality, completeness, and business rules
• Deduce business rules by interviewing subject matter experts and analysing available data
• Define KPIs that measure business performance
• Build dimensional models that support efficient reporting and analysis
• Create reporting prototypes to validate analyses before full implementation

You’ll work with our modern data stack including AWS services like S3, Athena, DuckDB, Glue, and RDS to access and analyse data. Your analyses will directly influence business decisions and help shape our data‑driven culture.

• Starting your day with setting up your mobile working environment – or adjusting your table at the office
• Opening your individual task manager and getting your mind into the analyses you are working on, ranging from quick ad‑hoc requests to long‑term strategic projects
• Meeting with the team in the daily stand‑up and setting the stage for the collaborative work of the day. You’ll probably have a look at your backlog, your Kanban board or whichever style of agile collaboration the team favours
• You continue working on requirements gathering, data profiling, or model building. Maybe a focus session writing SQL queries or working on a dimensional model design with colleagues
• Enjoy a flexible lunch break, whether it’s a home‑cooked meal or a casual outing with colleagues at nearby restaurants
• Afternoon might include stakeholder meetings to validate KPIs or present reporting prototypes. It is completely up to you and the team how long and in which constellations and formats you work!

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, information science, economics, or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to map business processes to data objects
• You have gathered 5 or more years of experience as a BI Analyst, a lead Data Engineer, a Senior Report Developer or similar role
• Strong SQL skills for data summarisation, profiling, and analysis
• Domain knowledge in subscription‑based business or recurring revenue models (e.g. insurance, magazine subscriptions, freemium software, etc) is highly valuable
• Strong knowledge of dimensional data modelling and reporting best practices
• Basic competency in Entity‑Relationship modelling and Third Normal Form
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts and architecture
• You collaborate based on mutual respect
• Strong communication skills in English for gathering requirements and interviewing stakeholders. German is a plus
