The Senior Manager of Industry Solutions supports global Sales and Customer Retention in the discrete manufacturing and retail industries by monitoring market developments and translating these into business strategies. This role educates Cloudera staff on industry specifics, creates content for internal education and external thought leadership, manages industry communities, and represents Cloudera at external industry events.
In summary, this role provides industry-specific expertise to Sales, shares relevant insights with the Cloudera community, and enhances Cloudera's credibility in industry communities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop industry market strategies, including Business Plans and Sales Playbooks, understanding industry data and analytics trends.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to position Cloudera as a leader in these industries.
- Support business solutioning during sales and implementation cycles.
- Create thought leadership and solution strategies to maximize profitability and revenue growth.
- Identify new solutions and product requirements through customer and partner engagement.
- Develop marketing and sales strategies with partners to penetrate markets.
- Create industry-specific content to support pipeline, sales, and retention.
- Research and execute business plans, including market sizing and competitive analysis.
- Position Cloudera effectively within manufacturing and retail sectors.
- Provide sales support with industry expertise for key accounts.
- Create industry-specific sales support assets.
- Enhance market share and public perception of solutions.
- Support channel development and account planning.
- Represent Cloudera at industry conferences and events.
- Network with industry professionals to promote Cloudera.
- Manage relationships with solution partners.
- Maintain industry expertise and stay updated on trends.
- Publish blogs/articles and engage in social media to promote solutions.
- Lead industry group sessions and be the face of Cloudera in relevant industries.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in discrete manufacturing or retail industry.
- At least 5 years in a business or operational role within these industries.
- Experience with data or analytics required.
- Strong knowledge of industry solutions.
- Proven success in go-to-market strategies.
- Experience in demand generation and pipeline growth campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Executive presence and ability to build trusted advisor relationships.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Aptitude for data & analytics technology and connecting technical concepts to business value.
- Deep understanding of business drivers, processes, and ecosystems of the industries.
