Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Client Manager to support Japanese corporate clients in Germany. The role requires deep insurance expertise, fluency in German and English, and a strong understanding of Japanese business culture. This is a remote, full-time position with a focus on building and maintaining trust-based relationships with clients and internal teams.

CLIENT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as the primary point of contact for Japanese corporate clients based in Germany
• Liaise with internal departments (underwriting, claims, compliance, etc.) to coordinate client service
• Provide expert advice and guidance on insurance products and solutions tailored to client needs
• Ensure timely and accurate responses to client inquiries in line with Japanese business etiquette
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
• Proactively manage client accounts, identify risks, and offer strategic solutions
• Stay informed about insurance industry trends and regulatory updates in Germany and the EU
CLIENT MANAGER IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• 5+ years of client management experience in the insurance industry, ideally at an insurance company except life insurance
• Experience managing Japanese corporate accounts
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and services
• Fluent German and professional English skills (written and spoken)
• Deep understanding of business culture and communication style suitable for Japanese clients
• Ability to work independently and take initiative as an immediate contributor
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and client-facing skills
• High responsiveness, attention to detail, and service-oriented mindset
