Job Description: Cloud Cost Analyst
Our unit is embedded within the Chief of Staff / IT Strategy department, supporting leadership in financial steering across the CIO / COO organization. Serving as the central interface between Division Management, corporate central functions, and market segments of Deutsche Börse Group, the department manages interfaces and develops structured decision proposals.
As part of our newly formed unit, you will collaborate with teams from IT, DevOps, Finance, and Business Units to enhance visibility, accountability, and efficiency in cloud operations.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cloud Cost Analyst to join our Cloud Financial Management & Cost Optimization team. You will analyze cloud consumption trends, support financial planning, and optimize cloud spending across Deutsche Börse Group.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the development and refinement of the FinOps framework.
- Analyze cloud usage data (GCP, AWS, Azure) across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and identify optimization opportunities.
- Monitor cost trends and forecast cloud spend using tools like Apptio, GCP Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and internal dashboards.
- Develop and maintain reports, KPIs, and dashboards to track financial performance and allocation.
- Assist with tagging policies, chargeback models, and budget control processes.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and Finance teams to validate cost allocations and promote cost-efficient cloud architecture.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation of cloud cost processes.
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in cloud cost management, financial analysis, or IT financial operations.
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP); experience with AWS and Azure is a plus.
- Strong skills in Excel and Power BI; knowledge of FinOps tools like Apptio is advantageous.
- Understanding of cost optimization strategies such as rightsizing, idle resource cleanup, and automation.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills in English.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or IT chargeback/showback models is beneficial.
