W3‑Professorship (m/f/d) for Medium‑Voltage Engineering and Insulation Systems
The University of Kassel is a modern and growing University with about 21,000 students. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science seeks to fill this professorship by 1 October 2026. The professorship’s teaching focuses on high‑ and medium‑voltage technology for electrical power supply systems and the fundamentals of electrical engineering.
For research and integration into the faculty’s research profile, a focus on the effect of high field strengths in materials and structures is desired. Experience and future activities in research and development in the following areas are expected:
Teaching in German and English, participation in academic self‑administration, research in high‑voltage systems, and science management. The position offers close cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology (IEE) and the Institute of Nanostructure Technology and Analytics (INA).
Qualification proven by a habilitation or habilitation‑equivalent additional academic achievements according to §§ 67, 68 of the Higher Education Act of the Federal State of Hesse (HessHG).
